The Vegan Butcher

So, my weekend job (parking booth attendent at a hospital) has now amped up and I’m working shifts through the week there as well. I’m pulling 70-hour work weeks and barely have time to cook at all, never mind blog about it. It pains me to not be able to post, as I rather enjoy it and love the creative outlet.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to make this work. Perhaps a hot plate series from within my booth? Maybe I can throw back to my Girl Guide days and cook on a buddy burner out in the parking lot on my breaks? Bring an electric frying pan and make stirfries as I’m servicing exiting hospital patrons? Do a microwave series from within the hospital cafeteria? Actually, I think some of this would be really fun… (more…)

I haven’t forgotten about you! Please know that I have been racked with guilt about the neglect I’ve shown you all in the last week.

I promise that I will pull up my socks and get posting again–soon. AHHAHA. No, I will. I’ve been cooking, I just haven’t been posting! There’s no excuse. It’s happening…just not tonight.

The holiday season is going to be an exciting time for our little corner of the cyber universe! My behind-the-scenes admin boys are coming home to the Maritimes on their school breaks from far-flung and exotic areas of Canada (Vancouver and Ottawa). Because they may have some spare time on their hands, the site may start looking a bit different. We’re going to have some guest stars in our posts and who all knows what else! So hold onto your seats, ’cause it’s gonna get exciting……once I get my shit together.

Between two jobs and MoFo, I’m nearing my breaking point. I haven’t forgotten about all o’ y’all! After my sales conference last week, I was severely behind in my work and I’m going to NYC next week, so I NEED to be caught up before I go. Needless to say, that means intense overtime and not a lot of blogging time. I promise you I will blog and do restaurant reviews from NYC! (WEEE HOOOOOOO! Exciting!!!!) I’ve made a cake that I will blog about tomorrow, but right now I’m going to a pub to see a friend of a friend’s band play. If you’re in Haliwood and near Gus’s, come on out with us! xx
