I Miss Having a Kitchen

Love You Brunches

Since arriving in London I have had one of three things for breakfast everyday: 1) Cold granola with cold soy milk, 2) A cold Clif Bar, 3) Nothing. Our apartment hotel has a kitchenette but it’s tiny and I’m scared of the appliances*. When flipping through my archive of unblogged-about pictures, I came around to these pictures from the Friday morning before I left Canada and wanted to rewind to it SO BADLY. I miss hot breakfast and I want to eat this again. Now! This brunch was facking amazing.

Into the Woods: Little Red’s Sticky Buns

It’s time for our next post in the “Into the Woods” series! If you missed the first I recommend that you read back so as not to be totally and utterly confused during this post.

Next up on our list of fairy tale characters to explore: Little Red Riding Hood.

In “Into the Woods” Little Red is a chubby little thing that loves her sweets. She stops by the Baker’s house on her way into the woods to visit her grandmother and places an order…all for Granny, of course:

“It’s not for me, it’s for my Granny in the woods. A loaf of bread, please—to bring my poor old hungry Granny in the woods… Just a loaf of bread, please… And perhaps a sticky bun? Or four? And a few of those pies, please… I sort of hate to ask it, but do you have a basket?” (more…)

Christmas in February

A couple of days before Christmas I baked vegan mince pies and then got too busy to blog about it. I just found this draft that was started on 23 DEC and figured I’d finish it now. Merry Christmas!

I am British. Check my passport if you don’t believe me! My Papa was born in London and I have British citizenship by descent. I have dual citizenship: UK and Canada. Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway, I figured since I was all British and junk that I should start learning how to be so. Pip pip! (more…)
